Chess Tower Defense

Chess Tower Defense is a free tower defense played on a chessboard. Black pieces march along a winding path towards your King. Place white pieces beside the path: each one strikes every square its chess move reaches. Play it in your browser on PC or phone.

A knight hits all eight L-jump squares, a bishop sweeps the diagonals, a rook covers whole rows, and the queen does everything. Rooks, bishops and queens are blocked by your own pieces, so where you put each piece matters. A pawn that helps with 10 captures promotes for free.

How to play

Pick a piece in the shop (keys 1-5), then click a square beside the path (on touch screens, tap the square twice). Click a placed piece to upgrade, promote or sell it. Start the next wave early for bonus coins. V shows uncovered squares, F changes speed, P pauses.
